Comments: I live in SW Georgia, and I am currently attending Tuskegee University in Alabama. I made my commitment to abstinence the day after Valentine's Day in 1998. I guess I have claimed secondary virginity. I think it was a big mistake when I lost my virginty because it was a result of peer pressure. All my friends were doing it and sometimes they made me feel like an outsider because I wasn't doing it. I tried several times to reclaim my virginity but my ex-boyfriend didn't understand what I was trying to do because almost every time that we got together something happened. So I prayed and I prayed to God to save me from this trap and a few weeks after Valentine's Day we broke up. He came all the way to my school to tell me that he had gotten another girl pregant, now you can not tell me that this wasn't a sign from God. If that wasn't then I don't know what else is. It has been very hard maintaining secondary virginity becaus everywhere you look there's something promoting sexual activity, whether it's on TV or in a song, but I refuse to give up on this battle.
